Changing room benches give people a place to sit, hang their clothes and tuck shoes away while they get ready. This category covers the Pure Carbon Zero range, from plain seats to hook benches, low back rest benches, overhead hanging units and wall hookboards, plus the CME waterproof bench in recycled plastic. Pure benches come in 1000, 1200, 1500 and 2000mm widths, arrive fully built, and can be made to a custom width on request.
Picking a bench style
A standard bench is just a seat, available single or double sided. Hook benches add a rail of coat hooks above the seat, from 5 hooks on a 1000mm single sided bench up to 20 on a 2000mm double sided one. Overhead hanging benches put the hooks on a taller frame, and low back rest benches give a little support without the full-height frame. For walls with no room for seating, a hookboard holds the hooks on its own.
Sizes for every age group
Most Pure benches are offered in infant, junior and senior/adult versions, with seat heights of 350mm, 400mm and 450mm. That makes it easy to kit out a primary school cloakroom and a staff changing room from the same range. Single sided seats are around 305 to 310mm deep, and double sided hook and overhead benches around 700 to 715mm.
Finishes and storage
Frames are mild steel with anti-bacterial paint, in five colours: Pearl Silver, Cornflower Blue, Flame Red, Magma and Lime Light. Slats are Light Ash or Black Polymer. Many models include a shoe shelf, and standard benches can take a colour-matched single or double shoe basket. Floor or wall fixings are available.
FAQs
Can I order a bench in a non-standard length?
Yes. Pure benches come in four standard widths, and custom widths can be quoted on request.
Do the benches need assembling?
Pure benches are delivered fully built. The CME waterproof bench needs simple self-assembly.
Which bench should I use for a wet changing area?
The CME bench has a recycled plastic build with no steel to corrode, and it is sold for poolsides and shower rooms. For wet rooms and pool areas, see our Wet Room Benches and Swimming Pool Benches.
